☾ NOTES FOR PSYCHICS & SPIRITUALLY SENSITIVE. Technically, Gansey should be dead. Twice over. And he might be sort of part magical forest. When he was 10, he was attacked by a nest of hornets, and his life was traded for another person's via ley line. He has a transparent aura, which apparently means that for someone sensitive to them, being with Gansey is like being alone. However, psychics attempting to do a reading for him said he was very 'loud', at least in conjunction with his friends, so ymmv. He very definitely has A Destiny. Please see the spoilers in his app or hit me up if you want more info on magical forestness, because it's weird. If your character is a mind-reader, I'd be happy to narrate his thoughts at the time, because they often conflict with his outward appearance. Gansey is all about the masks.

☾ ABILITIES.

THE RAVEN KING
While Gansey doesn't seem to be magically gifted like his friends, he is without question the leader of their group and has a natural charisma that he has used to his advantage all his life.

commands | There is a certain tone of voice Gansey can use when he gives a command that his friends all mention in narration that they 'can't' not follow. He also uses this tone in conjunction with the abilities of his friends to bring a large group of dream-made animals that had decayed to skeletons fully to life. He also uses it to direct an entire flock of ravens. He is aware of this ability but rarely thinks to use it, and we don't know what the extent of this ability is.

MAGIC SENSITIVITY
Gansey has some awareness of magic in that he can dowse a ley line and feel when they're in a magical place, but his abilities are nothing like those of his friends. He does, however, get 'gut feelings' about where there can be important things to find, magical or not. As someone said, the world opens its pockets for Gansey.

TIME SLIPS
Due to some whacky magical forest antics, Gansey has the ability to accidentally (and it's hinted, probably purposefully) 'slip' in time in such a way that he's experiencing a place at multiple times at once. It's like taking a step expecting grass and experiencing fallen leaves, barren ground and snow all at once, for the time it takes for his foot to fall. Gansey just accepts this weirdness as part of his daily life.

☾ FOURTH-WALLING. Sure, Gansey's family is well-known, what with his mom running for Congress. Unless a character has reason to know about the magical parts of Gansey's canon, I'd prefer to not go there.
☾ THREADJACKING. If it's public, go for it.
☾ BACKTHREADING. Definitely! If I drop something you want to continue, please let me know! I probably lost it in my tabs or forgot to mark a notif unread to come back to.
☾ PHYSICAL CONTACT. Gansey has no problem with casual touching in that masculine way, like shoulder-pats and manly back thumping. He's used to having his space invaded by people who are acquaintances at best, in socially acceptable ways. Only his friends (aka people he trusts, who are few and far between) are really allowed to invade his space, and he very definitely gives off that aura. From those he considers his friends, he'll accept any kind of touching, although he'll jump when it's unexpected.
☾ ROMANCE/SEXUAL RELATIONS. Gansey is kind of dating Blue, who he wasn't even allowed to kiss for the longest time, and has a variety of Complicated feelings for the other raven boys, but life is complicated, isn't it? Gansey is coming in a virgin, and will remain that way (in the penetrative sex sense) until he finds someone with whom sex 'means something', but he's not averse to non-penetrative activities under the right circumstances. He has romantic interest in both females and males, although he's less aware of the males part right up until he becomes very aware of it.
☾ INJURE/KILL. Please don't kill Gansey unless we specifically plot it out. He's a squishy human teenager who can take his lumps, but I'd prefer to keep it to broken bones at worst.
☾ DEVICE HACKING. He could probably figure it out if he really wanted to, but Gansey values honesty and privacy, so it's not the most likely thing under normal circumstances.
